

Sue Bryant of Rowlett, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on December 1, 2024. She will always be remembered as a devoted mother, wife, friend, granny, and great-granny to all who knew and loved her. Sue was born on September 14, 1948, in Los Angeles, California, to Otis and Opal Payton.
Sue dedicated 22 years of service to Dallas Teachers Credit Union of Texas before retiring in 2011. She had a passion for shopping, fishing, and tending to her yard and flower beds. A lover of change, Sue enjoyed refreshing her home by rearranging furniture, adding new greenery, floral arrangements, and displaying family photos. Her vibrant spirit and sense of style will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Sue is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Charles "Tony" Bryant of Rowlett, Texas; daughters Deanna S. Norwood and Kelly R. Denton; grandchildren Brittney N. Bennett, Brandon D. Huisman, Garrett W. Schmidt, and Scout L. Pettit; and great-grandchildren Marshall D. Bennett, Piper R. Bennett, and Camrie J. Pettit. She is also survived by her sister, Diane Kimmel, and brothers Dave Payton, Paul M. Payton, and Robert L. Schafer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Opal Payton; two brothers, Connie O. Payton and Tommy G. Payton; and her daughter, Denise A. Duncan.
Sue’s love for her family and her joyful presence will remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
