Born on August 7, 1951, in Dallas, Vickie was the daughter of the late Bud and Lula Womack. She grew up in Seagoville and married the love of her life, David Vaughan, in 1986. Together, they raised three children, and after 39 wonderful years, our beloved Vickie was called home.
Vickie was known to all as a devoted wife, a warm and loving grandmother, a cherished mother, and a devoted friend. She spent her life caring for others, always putting others first. From mowing the grass, tending to the dogs, making her infamous dishes, or offering wise words of advice, she always had a way of making everyone feel beyond loved and special in every way possible! Her unconditional love, boldness, outpouring generosity, and sense of humor will forever be missed by all who knew her.
Vickie is survived by her loving husband David Vaughan, sister Gaylia Kirkland, her three children: Jennifer (Russell) Sikes, Brandy (Jason) Myre, and Justin (Ashley) Vaughan; her six beloved grandchildren: Brittney (Jullius), Brittany (Andrew), Breigh (Ricky), Zach (Kandyce), Paisley, and Kaine; and her five great-grandchildren: Emberlynn, Everly, Echo, Rumor, and Banksey. She was preceded in death by her dear parents, Bud and Lula Womack, and her brother, Billy Dean Womack along with all her dogs.
A celebration of Vickie’s life will be held on April 2, 2025 at 10:00 am, at Roselawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, with a reception to follow.
Vickie’s legacy of love and warmth will forever live on in the hearts of her family. We take comfort in knowing she is now home and at peace.
