Vivian Lee Jarrett, 92, of Wilmer, Texas, was born February 9, 1934, in Dallas, Texas, and passed away on March 8, 2026, at 3:40 p.m. Vivian will be remembered as a hardworking, resilient, and devoted woman whose life was defined by her love of family, her faith, and her steady perseverance through every season of life.
After attending school through the 11th grade, Vivian stepped away from her education to focus on being a mother and supporting her family—an early reflection of the devoted and determined spirit that would guide her throughout her life.
Vivian spent her working years serving others with quiet pride and consistency. She worked in the nutrition department at Southeastern Medical Center and later in the housekeeping department for Motel 6, where her strong work ethic and resilience carried her faithfully until retirement.
Vivian found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments: going to church, doing yardwork, riding the lawn mower, loving dogs, fishing, and—most of all—visiting with her family. She was lovingly known as “Granny,” a name that followed her wherever she went, even among the nurses and aides at Seago Manor. The name reflected the warmth, kindness, and comfort she brought to those around her.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Jarrett; her brother, George Morris; and her parents, Betsy Lee (Arnold) Morris and Leon George Morris.
She is survived by her children: Ricky Jarrett (Bonnie), Billy Wayne Jarrett, Connie Mosley (Douglas), Clara Stephens, and Franklin Jarrett; and her grandchildren: Misty Stephens, Billy Jack Stephens Jr., Casey Jarrett, and Julie Jarrett, along with several great-grandchildren, extended family members, and many loving friends.
Visitation will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home, 1000 S. Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159, on March 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., after which Vivian will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
