Mrs. Elizabeth Lewis 82, of Seaside passed away Friday, May 27, 2016. She was born, May 8, 1934 in Auburn, AL and later moved to Seaside, CA with her husband Mr. Levi Middleton who was stationed at Fort Ord and preceded her in death. She later met and married Mr. K.C. Lewis and shared a wonderful bond before his passing in 2004.
Mrs. Elizabeth Lewis was a faithful Christian woman that was active in her church and the community and loved the Lord and her family very much. She authored a book called Uphill Journey and made a gospel CD. She enjoyed writing, singing, bowling, line dance, bingo, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memories to one brother, six daughters, two sons, ten grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, two great -great-grandchildren and one foster daughter. She will be truly missed by family and friends.
Viewing will be held at Bayside Community Mortuary, on June 9 from 4pm – 8pm. On June 10th, funeral services will be held at Hays C.M.E Church, 625 Elm Ave, at 11:00 am, followed by interment at Mission Memorial Park, Seaside.
