

Our dearest mother, Glenda Ann Hunter, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 in Seaside California where she resided for most of her life. She was born September 14, 1957 in Fort Ord, California to Frank Hunter Jr and Espie Hunter. She was one of four girls of her mother’s five children. In 1979, she gave birth to her first-born son, Markese Hunter. Later in her life she would meet and begin dating an Army service member (Melvin Shaw), in which she had two more children. Her second son, Raymel Shaw was born in 1988, followed by her only daughter Natalie Shaw in 1989. Her first grandchild, Sabria Henry-Hunter was born to her eldest son Markese in 2001 followed by her second grandchild Jade Lilis in 2003. After completing Certified Nursing Training, she would work as a CNA for about 6 years, taking care of families in the Seaside community. In 2008, she went to Mississippi to welcome her third grandchild, Jaeanna Jones born to Natalie Shaw. Shortly after that she welcomed her first grandson, Nasiir Shaw born to Raymel Shaw in 2008. In 2013 she relocated to Sacramento, California where she lived for eight years with her daughter and granddaughter. She returned to Seaside in 2020 to live with her mother. For many years she has battled with bone marrow cancer and Fibromyalgia. She loved life and fought a long, hard fight. She was loved by many and was selfless all the way up until her passing. She is proceeded in death by her Grandmother Mable Jimmerson, Father Frank Hunter Jr, sisters, Chandra and Connie Hunter of Seaside California. Glenda is survived by many friends that loved her dearly, her mom Epsie Hunter, two siblings, Jaqueline Bickley and Ronald Hunter, her children Markese Hunter, Raymel and Natalie Shaw, grandchildren, Sabria Henry-Hunter, Jade Hunter, Jaeanna Jones, Nasiir Shaw, Markese Hunter Jr and Mariah Hunter and many nieces and nephews. Her services will hold December 20, 2021, at Bayside Community Mortuary Funeral Home located at 1610 Noche Buena St, Seaside, Ca 93955 11:00 A.M.
