

Jessica C. Penamante was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Jessica will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Jessica was born on July 8, 1952 at Carmel Community Hospital in Monterey, Ca. She was Preceded in death by her mother and father Holly and Jesus Regules. Jessica grew up in Seaside, California.
Jessica was raised with 10 siblings. Pamela Jacobs, Deboria Castro, Randi Regules, Roni Regules, Rori Regules, Armando Rios, Gabriel Rios, Daniel Rios, Elena Rodrigues and Jessie Lannon. Jessica was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
As a young girl, Jessica had a number of interests. Like most children, she enjoyed playing and making up games. She was curious about the world around her and was often eager to explore it. In her spare time she liked Tap dancing at Handlow School of Dance. However, to Jessica, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with her friends.
A typical teenager, Jessica had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She graduated from Seaside High School in 1969. She enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers such as Mrs. Evans.
Always considered a “good” friend to those she knew, Jessica enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during her lifetime. Maria Oliviero, Frances Flores, Antonettte Flores, Kathy Barola, Sharon Little John, Jeanie Hernandez, Betty Encinias and Mayumi McDonald.
On August 20th, 1977 Jessica exchanged wedding vows with Roger Penamante at Monterey, California. Empathetic and loyal, Jessica was committed to making her new family happy.
Jessica worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Jessica was blessed with 5 children; Holly Palma, Stephanie P. Tagalog, Roger Junior Penamante, Angel Dendy, Carrie Pericho. Her children Blessed her with 17 loving grandchildren that she adored with all her heart.
Fortunately, Jessica enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Jessica worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career as Head Pharmacy Technician. She was employed for 25 Years at Costco. Jessica always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Jessica enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Bingo, Casinos, and Bowling. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Jessica found pleasure in Bowling. Jessica was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following her favorite events whenever she had the chance to do so. NFL and NBA.
Jessica’s faith was important to her. She was a member at Seaside Lighthouse Full Gospel Church.
Though she never set out to gain individual recognition, Jessica was given accolades for her many and varied accomplishments throughout her life. Some of her most prestigious awards included Certified Pharmacy Technician.
Jessica enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included a Road trip to Colorado, Grand Canyon, Redding to visit her siblings, Casino trips with friends and family.
Jessica cherished her pets. Some of her favorites were George and Pepe, and her nieces pug, Georgia. They were best friends for three years.
When Jessica’s retirement finally arrived in 2015, she was well prepared. During retirement she enjoyed shopping and hanging out with her sisters Deboria Castro and Maria Kausin, Prayer Meetings on Friday nights and Bible Studies on Wednesday nights. Even in retirement, Jessica continued to stay in touch with her old friends while making plenty of new acquaintances.
Jessica passed away on February 13, 2016 at her home comfortably surrounded by her loving family. Jessica courageously fought a good fight against cancer for eight long years.
Simply stated, Jessica was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Jessica leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Jessica C. Penamante.
