

Larry was born September 7, 1929, to Demetrio Cuellar and Julia Fernandez in Pomona, CA. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1947. He served in the Korean and Vietnam war. After various assignments including US Airborne, Larry finished out his military career as a Sr. Information Specialist. After 30 years, SGM Lawrence Cuellar retired in 1977 with many accommodations and medals.
Larry was united in marriage to Frances L. Duran on November 7, 1953. They had 6 children together before Frances preceded Larry in death on September 21, 1998.
After his 30 years of military service, Larry continued his service to the community by working for the Monterey/Salinas Transit Company. He retired after 15 years to take care of Frances before she passed.
Larry was a 45-year member and Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Seaside Council 5261 St. Francis Xavier.
Larry met Nadine S. Chaty in 2003. They later were united in marriage on December 17, 2013.
Larry is survived by his wife Nadine Cuellar of Seaside, CA, his seven children; Norma Jean Alvarez of Chula Vista, CA, Julia (Joe) Charfauros of Spanaway, WA, Cindy Rodriguez of Marion, IA, Katie (Randy) Licon of Spanaway, WA, Dorothy Flores of Newark, CA, Lawrence Cuellar, Jr of Marion, IA and Paul (Tera) Cuellar of Dyersville, IA and two step-children, Maria (Michael) Tate of Marina, CA and Will (Albertina) Chaty of Marina, CA; 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter and a sister Ruby Banuelos.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
Visitation will be held on December 28, 2021, at Bayside Mortuary from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
A Catholic Mass will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, December 29 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Seaside, CA. A Military burial will follow at the Mission Memorial Park, Seaside, CA.
