He is survived by his wife, two sons, and granddaughter, Catherine Franklin of Seaside, Jeremy Franklin and granddaughter April Franklin of Modesto, and Robert Franklin with daughter-in-law Stephanie Franklin; Matt is also survived by his parents, two brothers, sister, and countless friends. Matt proudly served one enlistment in the Armed Forces, US Army. Additionally he dedicated a sum of twenty three years to the County and City of Monterey.
Matt’s Memorial Service will be held on Thursday September 24, 2015 at The First Baptist Church of Prunedale at 7:00 pm for all family and friends to pay their respects. Attendants are encouraged to bring a memory of Matt to share and honor his life.
At Matt’s and his family’s request there will be no funeral services held. In support of building a veteran’s cemetery in Fort Ord, any donations will be accepted to the Central Coast Veteran’s Cemetary.
