When I heard of the passing of Mr. Hill it brought back soooo many memories of our families together.  I know you know that I will always love the "Hill" family for I grew up with Mr. Hill and Mrs. Hill as my second parents.  I just want you to know I feel the pain and the blessings yoou are going through.  I will always be here for all of you:  The passing of my Mom is still like yesterday.
May GOD continue to bless each one of you..  Will see you soon.

Dear Dorothy and family,

I just learned about Bill's passing and I wanted to share my condolences to you.

It was my distinct pleasure to work with Bill at Manzanita School for three years.  I was deeply moved by his compassion and concern for all of his students, parents and staff.  He was a school leader and outstanding community advocate for Manzanita  and Seaside.  I sought Bill's counsel on several occasions and was always impressed with his thoughtful advice.  He was a real gentleman.

Dorothy, I also offer my sympathy to you and want to acknowledge that I sincerely enjoyed my time working with you at Marshall School.  It was my honor to work with you and Bill.  Both of you touched many students lives in so many positive ways.  Thanks for all of the many positive things which you did for the students of MPUSD.

Dear Mrs. Hill and family, The Holmes family would like to express our deepest love and sympathy to you. The Legacy of Love that Mr. William Jennings Hill Sr. established for his family transcends into our family and into this entire community.  It will never fade.  Because of his wonderful expressions of care and love for family we are all better people.  From teaching a child's first golf game, to a simple word of praise and encouragement as he taught.  He will be remembered fondly.  

 We pray that your hearts will heal quickly and the bond of Faith and Love grow stronger and keep you surrounded by God's Peace.  Although, there seems to be no words to express the loss of such a great man, we say We Love You and ask that God grant you complete and perfect Peace.

A MAN who I called UNCLE BILL, I am having a praise party right now all by my self, remembering the Disneyland Trips, The Ebony Court Trips, The CACE Trips, The shared Hotel Rooms, the real discipline, the rod of correction was NOT SPARED, waking up with my brothers Billy & Rodney, being told on by big, lil sister Gloria. Dear Dorothy I am so sorry for your loss.  Amd your family as well. Please know that I share your loss with you.  Mr. Hill was a wonderful man and a great educator. It was my great pleasure to be able to work with him at Manzanita School.  There alot of students who have and will continue to carry on the wonderful lessons in life that he shared with them. I find it hard to believe that he is gone.  But the world and especial Seaside Elementary Schools are a better place because a Man Named William Hill touched their lives.  What a Blessing.

Mr. Hill was also my fourth grade teacher at Manzanita. I will forever remember his strength, humor and passion that he had for education. He set the bar..Mr. Hill you are a legend and have left a great legacy. My condolences to the Hill family. Rest in Peace Mr. Hill.

Mr. Hill was my fourth grade teacher at Manzanita... 20 years later and I still remember this great man. I was saddened to hear about his health struggles and am truly sorry to hear about his passing. He is home now; may those who loved him find comfort with this fact.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time.  I have many fond memories of Bill from the MPUSD bowling league even though he out-bowled us all the time. It was always a pleasure to talk with him and his smile and laugh always brightened the day.  With sympathy for your loss,

William Jennings Hill left the foundation for others to build.  He was the perfect combination of all the things it took to make America a place where you could successfully seek a destination.  If a man is measured by what he gives then William Jennings Hill was a mountain of infinite proportions.  A man of vision who could look past who you were and focus on what you were going to become.  Many of his students refer to him as their favorite one.  He opened the doors to his home and made people not only feel at home but that they really belonged.  When affliction approached his body he valiantly fought.  Some things had changed but the spirit of excellence he never lost.  In his presence I never saw him complain he would look around the room as if giving things for his multiple blessings.  A wife and children who did not even bat an eye, because when the time came they stopped everything and were right by his side.  Because of faith in God we release and say goodbye.  A tear in our eyes and a smile on our face we know the awesomeness that is William Jennings Hill has moved on to a prepared place where his energy and all his essence is all back in place....From the Heart of Darrell Ray Collins
