Albert Thorman Freeman, 89, of Seattle, Washington, passed away peacefully on the morning of January 17th, 2013, after a long struggle with dementia. Albert was born in New Jersey on January 4th 1924, to Andrew Freeman and Elizabeth Brodie Freeman.
When Albert was sixteen years old, he joined the Marine Core and served four years. After his tour was over he re-enlisted with the Air Force where he stayed until he retired in 1967 and moved to the Seattle area. During his different tours of duty, he saw action in both World War II and the Korean War. He was still in the service during the Vietnam War.
Albert was a passionate man who enjoyed working on, or tinkering with, anything automotive and worked for the Time Oil Company in Ballard. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his ever growing family, camping, fishing, watching television and reading old western novels.
Albert married his soul mate and best friend, Sheila Mary (Markwell) Freeman, on November 28th, 1953 in Ipswich, England, who he leaves behind after 59 years. He was also a proud and loving father to his son's Douglas, Gordon and David and his daughter's, Megan, Beverly, Katie and Sherry. He was an attentive Grandfather to fifteen Grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
We will always carry your memory in our hearts' forever.
