was born January 30, 1931 in Gyor, Hungary. He came to America in 1957 and settled in Seattle. Since he spoke no English at the time, he worked alone at night as a janitor in a bakery. Later he became a baker and then a foreman.
He has been married to Jan Helen nee: Anderson Varga for 41 years. They had no children. Together Andrew and his wife invested in rental property which they managed in West Seattle. They have been residents of West Seattle since 1960.
Andrew is survived by his wife Jan, his sister Barbala and her husband Laszlo Gacs of Hungary; two nephews Peter and Zalton Gacs. He is also survived by his wife's family: Thomas & Linda Anderson, Ronnie and Douglas Campbell, and Susan & Robert Koumaros; a nephew Jim and nieces Tina, Shawn, and Dale.
Andrew enjoyed being in the outdoors and working in his yard. He also enjoyed travelling to Hungary to see his sister and her family and keeping in touch with her by telephone.
This is a hard time for his loved ones and we pray he will be at peace with God.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
