It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Angelito “Angel/Boyet” Corpus, who departed this mortal plane on March 6, 2026, at the age of 74, following a long hospitalization at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA. He will be remembered for his wisdom, humility, and lifelong dedication to others - a man who lived fully and gave generously.
Angel truly lived a full life. He earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines, before embarking on a distinguished career as a pilot in the Philippine Air Force (PAF), where he advocated for environmental stewardship and ecological protection efforts alongside his military duties. He co-founded ACDI, an institutional cooperative serving members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and played a pivotal role in establishing a flying school in Manila. Despite these accomplishments, he never sought recognition - his impact spoke for itself in the many lives he changed and touched.
After he moved to Washington state in the Pacific Northwest to be with his family, Angel began again with quiet strength and determination. He started his career at Boeing, then went on to work in real estate, and later owned a shipping and cargo sales business. Entrepreneurial by nature and selfless in spirit, he was always thinking of new ways to build something to provide and build a better life for those he loved.
His resilience and tireless work ethic reflected how deeply he loved and cared, a commitment he carried not only in his work, but also in his community.
He was a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Freemason, a Shriner, and an integral part of the Filipino Masonic Association of Greater Seattle (FILMAGs). He served as the 2012 President of the Philippine Masonic Association of America, Inc. (PMAAI). His commitment to conservation was reflected in his patronage of The Sierra Club and the World Wildlife Foundation. A dedicated Catholic, he also volunteered as an usher at St. Mary Magdalen Parish in Everett, WA.
In quieter moments, Angel could be found lost in a good book, tending his garden of vegetables, baking bread, listening to his favorite music like Chicago and Earth, Wind, and Fire, or playing chess - hobbies reflecting his patience, curiosity, and joy. He never stopped building and never stopped learning.
At the heart of it all was his family. Angel was devoted to his wife, “Zee,” and together they made a home defined by warmth, love, and an abundance of memories that will endure in the hearts of all who knew them. He was a dedicated father and grandfather whose presence brought strength, guidance, and love.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings. He is survived by his beloved wife, Zenora “Zee/Baby”; his daughters Krystle, Angela, and Nicole; four grandchildren, and a loving extended community who will miss him dearly and carry his memory forward.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to those who provided care, compassion, and support during this time.
Funeral arrangements are being organized by Evergreen Washelli with viewings on April 7th and 8th, and funeral services at St. Thomas More Parish in Lynnwood, WA on April 9th. He will be laid to rest at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery.
