
Anna passed away to the arms of her Lord on December 3rd, at her home in Lake Forest Park. She was born in Seattle, WA on August 16, 1923. The daughter of Alfred and Johanna Swanson.
Anna leaves behind here husband of 53 years, William, whom she married in 1948, a daughter Joann Crow and her husband Dennis, daughter Carla Merisko and her husband Brian, she also leaves six grandchildren, Julie, Katie, Nancy, David, Carl, and Marcus. She also leaves twin sister Eda Stewart and brother Allan Swanson, nephew Brian, nieces Roberta and Carol.
Anna graduated from Roosevelt high School in 1942, attended Washington State University. She worked at Prudential Insurance Company. She was a devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and loyal friend. She had a love of gardening and was particularly proud of the beautiful flowers she grew. She was a selfless person, always giving of herself, sharing with her friends and neighbors. She grew up in the Greenlake area where she was confirmed and married at Bethany Lutheran Church. She later became a faithful member of Bethel Lutheran Church of Shoreline. She was a member of the Maple Leaf Garden Club and the Children?s Hospital Orthopedic Guild. Anna loved her bird feeders and attended them faithfully all year round.
Anna cherished time with family and friends, and she was quick to make new friends with her genuine interest in them. She always had an engaging smile that sent an unspoken message of, ?I?m so glad to see you and I care about you.? A memorial service will be held in her honor on Monday, December 10, 2001 at 11 A.M. at Bethel Lutheran of Shoreline, 17418 8th Ave NE, Shoreline, WA 98155. Remembrances may be made to Bethel Lutheran of Shoreline Missionaries C/O Bethel Lutheran Church.
Anna was a very special lady and she will be missed by many, but not forgotten.
With her passing, the earth is a little dimmer, but heaven is a little brighter.
