Arlene M. Jones

Born Arlene Margaret Templeton on June 28, 1935 in Yakima,Wa. to Grace and Mathew Templeton. She had one sister Mary Elizabeth (Betty). Raised in Bremerton and Seattle, Arlene graduated from Roosevelt High School.

Arlene married the love of her life, Merlin "Jake" Jones on August 6, 1955.

They raised two wonderful daughters, Connie Jones (Barb Peless) and Cheryl Jones (Carma McKay) and their "third daughter" Kathryn Ritter. Arlene's twin grandchildren, Annie and Ryan Ritter-Jones have been a blessing to her for the past 16 years.

Arlene worked at Sears, Greyhound, owned her own business were she made drapery/upholstery samples for Phil Youdene & Co. She retired from Bank of America in 1999.

She and Jake enjoyed their winters at the Happy Wanderer in Indio, Ca. where Arlene volunteered for many positions, she was happiest working with the golf association. Arlene enjoy puppies, hummingbirds and lighthouses.

Arlene developed many friends over the years and was always someone they could count on . Her happy positive spirit will live on in her children, grandchildren, friends and loving husband.

Memorial service will be held February 23rd at noon, Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home, Seattle.
