Age 81, passed away April 24, 2007, in Shoreline, WA. He was born January 15, 1926 in Seattle, WA and has been a lifelong resident. Following graduation from Cleveland High School in 1944, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps. Upon his honorable discharge he returned to Seattle where he worked for Seattle Marine and Fishing Supply Company from 1948 until his retirement in 1994 as company president. Life member of the Masonic Order, Occidental Lodge #72, Scottish Rite, Valley of Seattle and Nile Temple Shriners, past president of the Nile Chanters and Nile Temple Golf Club. He enjoyed traveling to Reno, the Oregon Coast and many cruises. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Irene Zuger, daughter Diane Mickey Nichols, son Gregory Ruth Hilborn, grandsons Alexander Paul and Benjamin William Hilborn, sisters-in-law, Marian Hilborn, Beverlee Zuger, Maxine Oliver, brother-in-law, Fred Oliver, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held at the Nile Shrine Center, 6601 244th Street SW, Mountlake Terrace, WA, on Monday, May 7, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals, PO Box 2472, Spokane, WA 99210-2472 or Shoreline Fire Department, 17525 Aurora Ave. North, Shoreline, Wa. 98133.
