Ayako was preceded in death by her son, Gary, and her granddaughter, Jenny Blakley. She is survived by her husband Satoru with whom she celebrated 70 years of marriage in April; her children Debbie Konma, Jean Blakley, Margie Wisegarver (David), Nora Higa (Mike), Roger Konma (Phuong); and her grandchildren Matt Blakley; Lauren and Eric Wisegarver; Amy Collins (Mike), Rob Higa; Caylie, Leah, Marcus, and Cami Konma.
A memorial service will be held at the Seattle Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home on Friday November 2, 2018 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Free Wheelchair Mission in her memory (freewheelchairmission.org)
