Barbara Lou Richards passed away at the age of 87 on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in Tacoma, Washington. She was born February 22, 1927 in Potlatch, Idaho. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Richards. She is survived by her brother, Jerry Ramey; her three children: Mary (Marijo) Harkey, Rebecca (Becky) Richards, and Donald (Don) Richards; 5 grandchildren: Christy and Michael (Mary), Lexis (Becky), Ian and Paige (Don); and 4 great grandchildren: Jessica and Jamie (Christy), Stephen and Kaitlyn (Michael); and numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara retired from the University of Washington in the orthodontic department after 30+ years of service. The greatest joy in her life was spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family wishes to thank the staff at Ocean Ridge Care Home and the Hospice staff at Group Health for their loving care of Barbara during her final days.
