Barbara Jean Vann

Barbara Jean Vann, age 80, passed away February 9, 2024, in West Seattle, Washington. Barbara was born July 20,1943 to Roger Grano Vann & Adelaide (Lavine) Vann. Barbara was a graduate of Chief Sealth High School in West Seattle and went on to earn a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing at the University of Washington in 965. She went on to earn her Master's in Nursing from the University of Washington in 1991. Barbara was employed by Swedish Hospital and served as Maternal/Newborn Clinical Director. She had a great love for animals and children. Throughout her life Barbara sponsored several foreign exchange students from Japan. She played a very active role in the lives of those close to her and will be greatly missed.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, younger sister Thelma Joan Vann, cousin Juanita (June) Lavine- Rodriguez as well as many beloved pets. Barbara is survived by many cousins including Kathryn L. (Vann-Baker) Murray of Blackfoot, Idaho; Jeffery L. Vann of St. George, Utah; Jason/Heather Vann and daughter Isabel Vann of Seattle, Washington; Jim/Andrea Vann and children Jackson, Addy, and Ava of Snoqualmie, Washington; Jonathan Vann of Las Vegas, Nevada; Andrea Vann- Smith, of Seattle, Washington; Brock M. Vann of Portugal; Lance M. Vann of the Philippines; Virginia L. Keller-Paul and Linda C. Keller.

A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Parish of Seattle at a later date.

A graveside service for Barbara will be held Friday, March 1, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Evergreen Washelli Cemetery, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133.
