Bonnie Earlene Johnson, 85, of Seattle, WA, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016. She was born August 23, 1930 in Seattle, the daughter of the late Robert Jefferson and Earlene Mabel (Presho) McGinn. Bonnie grew up in Ballard. She and her sisters, Pearletta and Delores enjoyed time spent at Golden Gardens. Bonnie graduated from Ballard High School and married Herbert C. Johnson on September 15, 1951. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1998. She loved taking walks at the beach with Herb. After Herb passed away she took up golfing and often golfed with her sister Pearletta and her long-time frieds, Jackie Melsted, and Joan Amundsen. Bonnie had an eye for decorating, and her home reflected this with decorations for holidays such as Valentine's Day or St Patrick's Day, or even the 4th of July..
Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her granddaughter, Beth, and in the past three years, her great-grandson, Wyatt, who called her granny. Bonnie moved to Foundation House at Northgate about a year and a half ago where she participated in activities provided such as Bingo, playing cards, and going to the casino with friends she made there.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Catherine Werries and husband Dale; granddaughter, Elizabeth and her husband, Michael, and great-grandson, Wyatt; and a brother-in-law, Cyrus Johnson.
