
Clara was born in 1921 to the union of Mr. & Mrs. William Atkins. Clara was a native of Baton Rouge, La.
Clara & I.G. Modica were Married in 1939, and shortly afterwards they relocated to Seattle WA. Clara was employed at Rhodes department store, from 1946 until 1967, when Rhodes department store closed. She then became employed by the Bon-March?, and worked until she retired in 1982. She also was a faithful member of Goodwill Baptist Church, until she became ill.
Clara leaves to mourn one sister Ivory Harris, one son Tommie Modica and significant other Andrella Polnett. One son in-law Al Willis, Sr., Husband I.G. Modica who preceded her in death; one daughter Delia I. Willis, who also preceded her in death; twin sisters Love and Florence Atkins, Sallie Atkins and Minnie Mathew, all of Louisiana, one brother Willie Atkins also of Louisiana, all who have preceded her in death.

Viewing begins Tues. Oct. 31, 2000 from 3-9pm, Wed. 9am-9pm and Thurs. 9-11am. Funeral services will follow at 12noon, Thurs. Nov. 2, 2000 at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home 11111 Aurora Ave N. Seattle, WA 98133. Memorials preferred, in Clara?s name, to Washington Mutual Trust.
