Our loving Mama, Concepcion José Guadiz, passed away on March 9th, 2016 in her Seattle, Washington home after 100 years of gracing this earth. Concepcion was born on September 28th, 1915 in Manila, Philippines to Eulogia Bonus and Rufino José. She was the third eldest sibling to five sisters and two brothers. She was a loving wife to Leon Guadiz, a dedicated mother to her nine children, a proud grandmother to her twenty-five grandchildren, a beaming great-grandmother to her forty-three great-grandchildren and a gracious great-great-grandmother to her two great-great-grandchildren.
Concepcion was a faithful member of Iglesia Ni Cristo. When she was not attending church, you would often find her sitting in her room, smiling, and laughing along with The Filipino Channel or working on her infamous word searches, many times gifted to her by her grandkids! Concepcion was an inherent philosopher, extremely wise, and was blessed with the ability to read the deep goodness in everyone's hearts. She was very honest and open with her opinions and took pride in being both punctual and very organized. She had a great knack for putting life into its simplest form in order to see what was truly important. She was accepting of others and gave her family unsurpassed, unconditional love. Her easy-going, loving and kind spirit attracted everyone around her and inspired others to be the same.
Concepcion is survived by her sister, Levy Paco, and all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
