Dion Nick

Dion Michael Nick was welcomed into this world February 9, 1972 at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, Washington. On Saturday, February 23, 2019, Dion passed away in North Seattle at the age of 47. Dion had many jobs ranging from a fishing boat in Alaska, to Boeing, to FareStart and on to Skillet, and most recently as a Shelter Monitor for the King County Shelter Program through the Salvation Army Social Services. Dion will be missed by so many. He is survived by the lights of his life and his whole heart - his three children, Chloe, Michael and Ava Nick; and their mother, Heather Nick. His mother, Pam Allen, his stepfather Ben Allen, his sisters Janene Nick, Shannon Barbre and Kaylee Moreno, and his brother Chris Phelps. He is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews that loved him, and his family from the Salvation Army.

Think of Dion when you eat a good meal, when you have a good laugh at something you probably shouldn't, when you walk the streets of Ballard, when someone plays devils advocate with you, when you see a green fleece vest or when you see a shaved head with sunglasses perched on top. He was a very good man with a heart of gold, and he will live on in our memories forever.
