
Dorothy was born to Osman and Emilie Johnsen March 22, 1923, in the town of Cove, Washington on Vashon Island. She was married to Warren C. Dolan in 1967 and they took pleasure in 29 years together. Dorothy enjoyed a successful 34-year career as the executive secretary for Wards Cove Packing Company in Seattle.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Warren; her sisters, Jennie Edwards and Austa Calhoun; and brother, Arthur Johnsen. She is survived by her sister, Clara Rydell; her two stepsons, W. Charles Dolan II Chuck and Theodore A. Dolan Ted; and many nephews and nieces.
Dorothy was a member of the Sons of Norway and was very proud of her Norwegian heritage. She and her husband volunteered for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center bone marrow transplant family support program, keeping in touch with families for years afterward. Dorothy was blessed with many close friends through the years; many of whom helped during her illness. Her interests included reading, Bible study, and gospel music. Dorothy?s deep faith in the Lord and her fiercely independent spirit will be remembered by those whose lives she touched. She will be greatly missed.

Graveside Service - 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 6, 2002 at Evergreen-Washelli.
Memorial Service - 11:30 a.m., Friday, December 6, 2002 at Edgewood Baptist Church, 20406 ? 76th Ave. W., Edmonds; reception follows.
