"Dorothy F. Johnson, 68, passed away December 11, 2003 in Seattle. She was born April 2, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Carl Jacob and Carma Alta Kay Radin. Dorothy is survived by her children; Dean Johnson, Tazha Johnson, Terry Johnson, Dale Johnson, Jan Dezra Johnson-Jacobson and Kathy Watkins; mother, Carma Radin; Brother John Radin; sister, Carol Anne Norgaard and 19 grandchildren.
Dorothy grew up in Seattle, WA. graduating from Queen Anne High School and attending one year at Brigham Young University. Dorothy raised her family in Eugene, Oregon recently moving to Seattle to be with her mom, who is now 99 years old and still going strong. She retired after 25 years at Fred Meyer in September 2001. Dorothy has been a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America for the past 35 years, and received the "Award of Merit", - the district's highest honor - along with the "Silver Beaver" Award, the highest recognition a council can bestow.
In addition to enjoying her work with the scouts, she enjoyed being with family, singing in the church choir at the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and listening to music with some of her favorites being, Hawaiian music, the Boston pops and Montavoni.
We will all miss our beloved Dorothy.
