While attending Texas Wesleyan, she met Mack Webb on a blind date, soon they became a couple. Mack moved to Seattle to work for the Boeing Aircraft Company. Dorothy followed him to Seattle after she graduated and they were married in the First Methodist Church in downtown Seattle and reaffirm-ed their vows in 2002 on their 60th anniversary. She is survived by her three children, Michael(Nancy) of Seattle, Curtis(Kay) of Apollo, PA and Kathleen of Lynnwood, four grandchildren, Rebecca(Matt) Ross and Margaret(Burke) Stoops of Apollo, PA; Nicholas and Emily Webb of Seattle; and two great grandchildren Elizabeth and Jessica Ross.
She was a caring, gentle and loving mother and wife. Dorothy was a teacher for her children and others through her service in the Boy Scouts as a Den Mother two times over and the Girl Scouts as both a Brownie and Girl Scout Troop leader in the '50s. She served in various capacities for the PTAs of Shoreline, then Seattle Public Schools of North Seattle. Dorothy joined the Children's Orthopedic Hospital Guild where she helped enrich the lives of the hospital's patients, volunteered at the Haller Lake Methodist church, the Haller Lake Community Club and was active in their Garden Club among other committees.
Dorothy was a "doer" so in the late '60s, she joined friends at Frederick & Nelson for 12 years. After Mack's death, Dorothy relocated to the Broadview Ida Culver House and lived independently. She enjoyed her life at Ida Culver.
