
Jane passed away at home peacefully and quietly on March 9, 2001, after a long battle with Alzheimer?s. Born Dorothy Jane Young on December 26, 1932 in Kahuku, Oahu, Hawaii. She graduated from Punahou School in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1950. In 1955 she received her Bachelor of Arts degree at University of Washington and was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. Jane was a flight attendant for United Airlines in 1956. She married her husband of 45 years in Seattle. Jane?s priority in life was raising her 4 children and anyone else who needed nurturing and care. In 1987, Jane was diagnosed with probable Alzheimer?s Disease. Her family felt blessed to care for her as she had cared for them. Jane is survived by her husband Jack, 4 children; Greg White, Sally Froman and husband Matt, Kerilee Bennett and husband Randy, Gary White and wife Jeralynn, 9 grandchildren; Katie, Leah, Scotty White, Nick, Sarah Froman, Kayla, Lexi Bennett, Lashawna, and Taylor White, 2 sisters; Ke Bode and Keko McEown and their loving families. Jane has now joined God with her mom and dad and her very special grandson Kyle White. Jane?s family would like to express their deep gratitude to Dr. Eric H. Jensen and his staff, for without them Jane would not have been able to be at home for as many years. Also ?Mary? from Snohomish Hospice who God must have sent to be with us the final hour.
