Born Dec. 21, 1949. Passed away Jan. 21, 2005. Born in Missoula, Montana, Gene served four years with the US Navy during the Vietnam War earning a purple heart. Ending up in Washington, he worked over 20 years at Coca-Cola Bellevue making many friends and acquaintances. Gene truly loved the outdoors including fishing and hunting the channeled scablands of Eastern Washington. His unique sense of humor will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Beryl Shawver, son Tim Shawver and brothers Tom and Dallas Shawver. A memorial service will be Sat.
