Fred Mar broke his earthly constraints to be with his Savior the morning of August 17, 2008. He leaves behind May, his loving wife of 61 years and three sons, Gil Helen, Peter and David. One grand daughter Christy Nolting Greg and two great grand daughters Ashley and Peyton, One brother, Yu Chow Ma Mae, one brother in law Chung Hon Wan Cheuk and 11 nieces and nephews. Fred was born in Toisan, China, March 11, 1921 and came to America at the age of 15 in 1936. He served in the US Air Force from 1942 to 1946. Most of his working years were spent at Boeing until retirement. He loved family reunions and enjoyed being given projects to work with. He leaves a large void in our family but we rest in the promise that we shall meet again and look forward to a joyous reunion. A viewing will held at Evergreen-Washelli, 11111 Aurora Ave. N., Seattle WA, on Friday from 9am to 8pm. A memorial service on Saturday, August 23rd at 11:00 a.m. will be held at Seattle Chinese Alliance Church, 2803 S. Orcas St., Seattle. A luncheon reception will follow. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to the Seattle Chinese Alliance Church in memory of Fred Mar.
