
Gene Alan Dawson, age 41 passed away from this life on April 27, 2005. Gene was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin & friend. Family was important to him and he loved everyone very much. Gene was born in Seattle, Washington on April 30, 1963, to Alan & Barbara Dawson. His childhood years were spent mostly teasing his older sister as little brothers do. Gene lived most of his life in and around the Seattle/Ballard area. Gene attended Lafayette Elementary, Madison Junior High and West Seattle High School. He is survived by his loving wife Michelle Dawson, his daughter Taylor Dawson and stepchildren Toni Olson and Steven Pinkerton. He is also survived by his mother Barbara Coles; His sister Denise Sampson Jeff Minnerly; His mother and father-in-law David & MarilynTevlin; Sisters-in-law Mabel Bean, Iris & Linley Logan; Lynette & Ed Moore and his Best Friend Steve Bickford plus many cousins, nieces, nephews & friends.
Gene worked most of his life in Property Management/Maintenance. He was quite the handyman. He started out in the painting business and was also self-employed during his life.
Gene loved fishing & playing pool and always looked forward to that time with his buddies & family. He loved to ride his motorcycle & at the time of his death was planning a motorcycle trip with his wife Michelle. He also had a trip planned to Westport with his in-laws & he had just returned from a great family vacation in California with his wife and daughter. Gene was known for being a big guy with a big heart and he will be truly missed by all his family and friends.
The services to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2005, 3:00 pm at New Hope Community Church at 2051 N.W. 61st Street, Seattle, WA 98107.
