Gil had enthusiasm for living life to the fullest. He enjoyed learning, deep conversations, delicious food, and of course, he enjoyed wine. He loved DEEPLY. He loved his kids, his grandkids, and his friends but more than anything on earth he loved his wife, Miriam. Nobody has ever loved anyone as much as Gil loved Miriam.
Gil had an insatiable curiosity and was passionate about everything that he touched: practicing and teaching medicine, appreciating & curating art and music, studying Judaism, exploring the outdoors, and learning about food and wine. He had an appreciation for the fine details in life, always making sure everything was not only done, but done beautifully and with intention.
At hearing even the smallest exciting or interesting news, a volcano of enthusiasm would bubble up inside Gil and ultimately erupt with him exclaiming with delight, “THAT’S PHENOMENAL!”, usually accompanied by a hard slap on the back.
We hope that whenever you experience even the smallest joys in life, you’ll think of Gil, think “that’s phenomenal”, and feel his presence and love.
