She received her education in the Seattle Public Schools. Hazel later went on to graduate from North Seattle Community College in 1971, where she received her LPN license.
Hazel joined Rosehill Missionary Baptist church in 1986, where she was a member until her death.
With determination and failed health, she held several different jobs touching the lives of everyone that she came in contact with. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all.
Hazel departed this life on Monday morning, April 29, 2002 at Swedish Hospital. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her husband, Harold; mother, Ruth Davis; two brothers, Earnest and Herman Lyons; one daughter, Charlaya Foote Joe; two grandchildren, Charbanay and Jolontae Foote; one niece, Joy Bernard and one nephew, Eddie; a host of other loving relatives and friends; special friends, Liz and Terry.
