Herbert ?Herb? Anthony WILLIAMS, age 62, passed away on December 7, 2003. He was born in Mobile, Alabama on September 15, 1941. Herb served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a teacher for the Seattle School District for 34 years. Mr. Williams was awarded ?Who?s Who of American Teachers? and ?Man of the Year? with the Seattle School District. He was an active member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. Herb is survived by his beloved wife, Adele M. Rottle - Williams; son, Henri E. Williams & wife Tami, of Renton; daughter, Valarie B. Williams, of Seattle; brothers George Williams & wife Hannelori, Harold Williams, sisters Jesse Walker, Dorothy Anne Claybourne, Annabelle Edwards and by many nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Henry Williams. A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 12, 2003 at the Washelli Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to Roosevelt High School or Rainier Beach High School Fine Arts Department.
