He retired at age 55 and immediately moved to Hawaii, where he and Dolores loved guiding visitors to the beauties of the islands for fourteen years. Teeing off with friends at the municipal golf course before sunrise was one of his special joys. They returned to live in Lynnwood and Bothell in 1991. For the last six years they enjoyed their friendships at the Vineyard Park Assisted Living Residence. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Dolores, his four children, his older brother Theron Wood, his younger sister Lou Anne Fore, eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
