
Age 80, of Shoreline, WA, died January 31, 2007, surrounded by his family at Northwest Hospital. He was born in Manila, Philippines, on June 10, 1926, to Inez Atanante and Robert Cambronero. Ike is preceded in death by his parents, only sister Guadalupe, and brothers Honorato, Dalmacio, Antonio, Jesse, and Ralph.
Ike began his military career by joining the underground movement as a guerilla after the fall of the Bataan. After the war, he was honorably discharged from the USSAFFE and went back to school and finally graduated with a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of the East. After graduation, he began his civilian career as a cost accountant with REHCO Electronic Co. and later transferred to the Phillips Electric Corp. He resigned from his Philippine job and moved to the U.S. in 1969.
In the U.S., he worked as an office manager with New England Fish Co. and Ocean Beauty Seafoods Co. until he retired in 1991, after 22 years of distinguished service.
Ike is survived by his wife Lucrecia 53 Years; his children, Edna and husband Mel, Edmund and wife Emily, Larry and wife Celina, Elena Canero, Isaac and wife Annette, Ernesto and wife Gloria, Edilberto and fiancee Roma Reyes; eight grandchildren: Jason, Chrystal, Laricel, Lindsey, Jordan, Laura, Hannah, Alexis; and his brothers: Severino, Jose, and Thomas.
Ike loved his family, his friends in the Filipino Community, and his friends in the Seafood Industry.
Ike is the Past Commander of the Bataan Corregidor Survivors Association & Their Family, Vice President of the Barangay Chorale, Auditor of Fapagao and FCC, Finance Officer of Filipino Community of Seattle?s Senior Services, and Board Member of IDIC.
