

Isabel Mary Boyer Haydel began her journey on March 17, 1921 in Melville, Louisiana. She was born to Lucy Watkins and Henry Boyer. She met and married Clyde James Haydel, Sr. on December 31, 1935. The couple built a strong and prosperous life throughout their sixty-six year journey together until her husband was called home in 2002.
In 1942, Clyde and Isabel moved their family from Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Bremerton, Washington to start a new adventure and to help in the war effort.They later moved to Seattle. Isabel worked at the Navy Shipyard and at Firland Sanatorium. Isabel had an inviting spirit and embraced everyone who entered her home as family. She was the strength and backbone of her family and up until her last days here on earth she had a fighting spirit and a strong resolve.
She is survived by her children: Clyde J. Haydel, Jr., Raymond A. Haydel, Gretchen M. Haydel of Seattle, Washington, and Jacqueline M. Johnson (Jackie) of North Little Rock, Arkansas.; six grandchildren, Rene Haydel, Simone Teal Haydel, Armond Haydel, Shawn Haydel, Dalainna Meun of Seattle, Washington, and Timothy Ross of North Little Rock, Arkansas, eleven great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Isabel was a kind and loving woman who was strong in her faith and always there for her family. She was an angel on earth and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed enough to cross her path.
The family will miss her wisdom and generosity as well as the constant reassurance of hearing her say...
"I love you."
