I have lots of good memories of Auntie Betty.  We enjoyed going down to Seattle from Vancouver BC to visit and stay for a weekend when I was growing up.  Auntie Betty would always greet us with a big hug.  She made sure everyone got lots to eat and had a comfortable place to sleep.  She was so funny and made us laugh.  She used to say I was too skinny and she could fatten me up with her scotch broth.  When I had a family of my own, we would visit and she was so good to my kids, taking an interest in each one.  When it was time to go, she would load each of them up with candy and a bag of lots of different things from her little "store" she kept in her house.  She knitted each of my babies booties, gave me hand made kitchen towels and pot scrubbers she knitted or crocheted, a beautiful candle with our wedding invitation on it. You just couldn't outgive Betty. I will enjoy visits with my cousins where we can remember their mom and share more stories and memories.

Betty was our neighbor on Wallingford North in Shoreline for 18 years. We missed her when she moved last year and so sorry to learn of her passing. Rachel was born just a couple weeks after Bill passed in 1995. We loved talking to her about Scotland and how she met Bill. She was a great neighbor and friend. Our thoughts are with you at this time.

Condolences to the whole family.  I have wonderful memories of Betty.  Her teacup was always in a special place at Mom's. Loved to hear the stories in that Scottish accent with a few French words thrown in there.  She put a smile on many faces in her lifetime.  You have my love and prayers. 

i loved betty very much.  she was one of my favorite people.  i have sent you all a letter.  i send you my deepest condolences.  your mom will always be in my heart.  my thoughts are with you all.
