Jack passed away at age 82 on June 13, 2010 in Seattle at Swedish Hospital. He was born in Huntington Park, CA on August 15,1927. Jack joined the Navy in 1944 and proudly served 4 years on the USS Bowditch and the USS Midway.
He was preceded in death in 1999 by his wife of 48 years, Ida. He was also preceded in death by his stepdaughter Patricia (Robert) Sampson, and his stepson Art Church. He is survived by his stepson Robert (Yoko) Church, daughters Linda (Stephen) Murray, and Carol (Robert) Bacon and his son Kenneth. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jack was very proud of the fact that he worked as an Ironworker for 40 years and enjoyed pointing out the many building, bridges and even the Space Needle that he worked on.
Jack made friends wherever he went, and always had a smile and a hug for everyone he met. He will be greatly missed.
