Jack was born on April 11, 1926 and passed away peacefully in Burien, WA on October 10, 2016. Jack was the son of Nathan and Ruth Yusen and grew up in Elmhurst, NY. During WWII, Jack served in the Navy and was a survivor of the USS Samuel B. Roberts, DE-413, sunk in action during the battle of Leyte Gulf, October 25, 1944. After the war, Jack moved to Tulsa, OK and met and married the love of his life, Ruth, on January 9, 1949. Jack worked as an area sales manager for Zep Manufacturing Company, first in Tulsa and then moved with his family to Seattle in 1962, retiring in 1993. Jack was a noted story teller and always made people laugh. Jack is preceded in death by his wife Ruth, and survived by his beloved brother Jerry (Barbara) of Lincolnwood, IL and his three sons: Jeff (Natalie) and their two sons, David and Daniel (Emily); Steve and his two daughters Hayley and Jenna; and Ed (Kara) and their son Matthew and daughter Emily. Jack was much loved and has left a lasting legacy with his family and many friends. Services are scheduled for Friday, October 14, 2016 at 11:00 am at Butterworth-Arthur A. Wright Chapel located at 520 West Raye St, Seattle, WA 98119. Remembrances are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or a charity of your choice.
