Jacquie Griffin

Jacqueline Roberta Griffin-White was born on May 10,1953, in Seattle, WA to Alice (Metz) Griffin and James Griffin. She was the 5th of 6 Griffin children born to this union. The Griffin family grew up in the Leschi neighborhood in Seattle and attended Leschi Elementary, Washington Middle School, and Franklin High School where she graduated in 1971.

Jacquie went on to attend the University of Washington and Seattle Central Community College. In 1975, Jacquie gave birth to twin daughters: Adrienne and Andrea. She dedicated her life to her children, who were a source of pride for her. When you saw Jacquie, you saw her girls!

Jacquie began her work career at the ACLU and later moved to Virginia Mason Medical Center in 1980. She eventually was promoted to the role of supervisor of Release of Information, and later retired in 2013.

Jacquie married her longtime partner, Jimmie White in 2010, and they resided in their home in Kent, WA. Jacquie spent her retirement with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and loving friends. She was a ‘Trekkie’, and loved Sci-Fi and old movies. She had an infectious laugh and enjoyed reading and playing with her little dogs.

Jacquie was preceded in death by her mother and father, Alice and James Griffin, and her nephew Clayton Griffin. She leaves to mourn her Husband Jimmie White, her Daughters Adrienne and Andrea Griffin, Step-children Mukibi White, Jamal White, Maliaka Brame (Greg), and Raven White, Siblings Ronn Griffin, Michael Griffin (Carolyn), Karen Murray(Wallace), James Griffin (Michael) and Gregg Griffin (Joyce), and a host of Nieces, Nephews, 2 Granddaughters, 2 Great-Grandchildren, and close friends whom all love her and will miss her always.

Services for Jacquie will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, beginning with a viewing at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133. A graveside service will follow at Evergreen Washelli Cemetery.
