Janet shared joy for all that knew her, especially my children. Janet always had a huge smile or a hug for you just when you most needed it. Janet was super thoughtful. She was by far our favorite server EVER during her time at the Seattle Yacht club dining room. She Always had a stash of tattoos or stickers for the kids and they Loved and adored her. Mostly she always asked How you were doing. She truly cared about people, not just being good at her job. She brought joy to us every time we saw her. She was Missed when we didn’t get to see her smile and hear her voice at SYC and we are sad to hear of her passing at such a young age. Prayers to her family and friends.

Our family knew Janet from the Seattle Yacht Club where Janet was widely known to be a “kid whisperer” - kids loved her and she could always coax a smile and some good behavior from the exhausted little ones. She was an extraordinarily warm and hospitable person with a gift for building community. Condolences to all the family and loved ones and especially Annette.
