
JEAN BODEN LINDGREN, beloved wife, precious mother, and cherished friend passed away July 12, 2002 in Seattle. She was born January 14, 1924 in Minot, ND, the daughter of Robert and Julia Boden. She graduated from Minot State Teachers College where she was president of her sorority, Beta Theta and on the staff of the school newspaper, The Red and Green. Early in the summer of 1945, she traveled from Minot to Seattle where she took a job at the Boeing Airplane Company as a bucker on a ?Rosie the Riveter? crew. She returned to Minot when the war was over and in the fall met her ?husband to be?, an army lieutenant who was home on leave to go pheasant hunting. They were married in Minot on September 8, 1946 and then made their home in Seattle. Jean was involved in many organizations and activities including the Nordic Heritage Museum, the Women?s University Club, Maple Leaf Lutheran Church and Lake City Community Center where she served as President of the Board. She LOVED to play bridge.
Jean is survived by her husband of 56 years, S. Mylo Lindgren; daughters Nancy Chuck Iremonger and Laurie Rob Duyker; son John Lindgren; daughters Sara Ty Graham and Katie Ron Robertson and 11 grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Monday, July 22, 2002 at 2 PM at Maple Leaf Lutheran Church, 10005 32nd Ave. N.E., Seattle. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Minot, ND. Jean will most be remembered for her generosity, spontaneity, joy and love of family and friends. She was the heart of our family. We miss her.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, The American Heart Association and the Nordic Heritage Museum.
