It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Jean Mae Messinger, 94, in Everett, WA on February 7, 2018. She was born on July 4, 1923.
Jean was born in Seattle, WA and grew up in Blaine, WA. She was a stay at home Mom until her children were out of grade school, when she went to work as a school secretary at Everett High School. She then moved on to Cascade High School in Everett, where she spent most of her career.
Left behind is a grateful family of 4 children (Terry Jo White of Everett, Lynn Anne Gregory of Hubbard, OR, Lyla Jean Messinger of Reno, NV and Lyle Kedrick Messinger of Medford, OR), 10 grandchildren, 14 great grand children, 3 great-great grand children and 2 grand dogs. Jean also leaves behind her loving companion of two decades, Dave Davis, and two cousins Lant Platner, Sr. and Richard Platner.
Jean lived her life to the fullest, and was always on the go. Whether baking cookies, traveling with family or friends, heading to the casino, playing bingo or pinochle, having coffee with the girls or a mystery lunch with Dave, no grass grew under her feet! She was a wonderful woman who will be greatly missed by family and friends. We celebrate her for a long life well lived!
As per her wishes, no service will be held. Memories or comments may be shared by clicking the link below her name.
