Jimmie Lee Arrington, Jr. was born on December 16, 1963, in Seattle, Washington. He departed this life on April 25, 2025, in Seattle, Washington. He was the third child of five children born to Jimmie Lee and Mattie Leola Connally Arrington.
Jimmie received his GED, and he was a laborer by trade. Although he worked for a brief time with the Seattle Parks Department, he worked mostly on various construction projects in King County, obtained through the local labor unions. Due to on-the-job injuries, he was placed on disability.
At an early age, Jimmie received Christ as his savior, and he enjoyed playing drums and bass guitar on the praise and worship team. He also loved playing improvised music with his uncle Vernon strumming on the guitar, his brother Mark grooving on the drums and his youngest brother Tracy thumping on the bass guitar.
There was not a dull moment with Jimmie. He was funny, had a big heart, and would help anyone he could. He liked tinkering with cars, and he owned several luxury vehicles, but his greatest pride and joy were his daughter and granddaughter. He loved them and spoke and bragged about them often.
Jimmie is preceded in death by both parents, Jimmie Lee, Sr. and Mattie Leola Connally Arrington, and brother, Tracy Arrington.
Jimmie has left to cherish his memory, his daughter, Jacquinta L. Franklin, and his granddaughter Tyanne A. Sutton; his siblings Andrea Arrington, Brigitte Arrington, and Mark Arrington (Saran); nephews Tony F. Jorgensen, II, and Markus M. Arrington, and extended family and friends.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. St. Matthew 11:28
