He was married on March 25, 1961 to Mattie L. Connally, and to this union were born five children.
He came to know the Lord at an early age, and was saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Spirit in 1969. He was schooled under the late Bishop Robert F. Liddell Sr. and became an ordained minister and had pastored for over 25 years, preaching the gospel to whomever would hear. He was also a teacher and counselor helping anyone in need. He spent over 30 years in the Steel Industry Olympic Foundry, Bethlehem Steel, and Seattle Steel. However, his most important role was that of a devoted husband and father, supporting his family, dedicated in helping to raise responsible, productive children.
He is most fondly remembered for those hot summer days, in his apron, in the backyard barbequing.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife - Mattie Arrington, children - Andrea, Brigitte, Jimmie, Jr., and Mark Arrington all of Seattle, WA., and Tracy Arrington of Marina Del Rey, CA.., mother - Willie Ann Toby, sister - Margaret Richards and brother - Eddie Arrington also of Seattle, WA., grandchildren - Tony II, Jacquinta, and Markus, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
The faimily of Jimmie L. Arrington gratefully acknowledges and thanks you for your kind expressions of sympathy, your prayers, cards, flowers, contributions, and other support.
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Psalms 116:15
