John Nakano passed away peacefully on October 28, 2021, at the age of 96. John was predeceased by his wife Lillian, and five younger brothers and sisters. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to thank the staff at Merrill Gardens at Renton Centre, Kennydale Golden Age Adult Family Home, and Evergreen Hospice for caring for him over the last few years of his life.
John retired from Boeing after 35 years of service with the last assignment as a boat mechanic for the hydrofoils. He and his family were interred during World War II at Minadoka War Relocation Center near Jerome, Idaho. He served in the 442nd Regimental Combat Team in the US Army during World War II. John enjoyed fishing in his younger days. In the last few years, he enjoyed going to the casino, watching the Seahawks and Mariners on TV and especially enjoyed watching women’s golf on TV. He will be greatly missed.
The family will host a private celebration of life at a later date.
