Kathryn was born and lived all of her 84 years in Kirkland, Washington. She was the youngest of John and Kate Fisher's four children. Her father John was a Kirkland pioneer who logged the Juanita area, living first in Houghton and later east of downtown Kirkland. Kathryn was educated in Kirkland schools and Biola College.
Kathryn was married for 42 years to Samuel F. Peterson, a WWII veteran and survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor. He became an accomplished graphic artist and painter. Sam preceded her in death in 1995. They are survived by son Michael "Swede" Peterson of British Columbia and grandson Andy, daughter Marla Scott Housekeeper of Woodinville, Washington and grand-daughters Anne, Jill and Megan.
Kathryn worked for many years - first at Boeing, then Lake Washington School District retiring in 1988. She continued to volunteer for many years at elementary schools and community groups. She was an active member at Rose Hill Presbyterian Church involved in many service activities. Her passion was the church and grandchildren. Marla's three daughters were a special blessing to her. She loved to shop with "her girls"!
