Kenneth Roland Eakright

Kenneth Roland Eakright. 76 Born 10/6/1934 in Spokane Wa to Arnold and Bernice Eakright, raised in Seattle, graduated from Roosevelt HS, He spent 4 years in the US coast guard service traveling overseas on an Ice Breaker to north and south pole. He met his loving wife Nancy of 53 yrs in Minn. moved back to Seattle. Raising 3 children, Craig Eakright, Marcie Eakright , Wendy Skrinski now includes a daughter in law Bobbie Eakright and 3 grandchildren Bryan,Jeffrey, and Shane Skrinski. He worked for Crowley Maritime as a mechanic, Foreman & Manager in Alaska and Seattle for 35 years and a member of the local 302 operating Engineer retiring in 1996. He enjoyed racing stock cars for many years at Aurora, Sea-tac and Evergreen Speedway and was a huge fan of nascar. He is a life time member of the Lake City Elks,Shoreline American Legions post 0227, past president of N Seattle Eagles 4122. Was an active member of the 1800 wheeler RV club. He and his wife enjoyed traveling in their Motor home all over the US and Canada and Mexico. He was a great husband, father and grandfather and loved spending time with his family. He was fighting emphysema for many years and lost his fight on 5/7/2011 with his family by his side, He was a very giving man and well liked by all, He loved life and will be dearly missed. Love you Ken we miss you.
