

KEVIN BRADLEY MEHLHAFF, 28, Seattle, died Thursday, March 7, 2019 at his Seattle home. Kevin Bradley Mehlhaff was born May 15, 1990 in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Bradley and Janan (Brown) Mehlhaff.
Kevin graduated from Robbinsdale Cooper High School, New Hope, MN in 2009, receiving the school's, Outstanding Senior Award. In 2013, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, earning a B.S. degree in Computer Science. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Kevin began his career as a software engineer at Microsoft Corporation in Redmond, Washington in 2013. He continued his career at Google Corporation's Bellevue office in December 2018.
Kevin enjoyed soccer, biking, snowshoeing, photography, playing video games, the opera, and the occasional golf game with Grandma. His living in Seattle inspired newfound passions for backpacking, hiking, camping, and mountain climbing. Kevin was an avid traveler as well, experiencing adventures in Europe, South America, and Japan. He especially loved his annual summer trips to national parks, including Rocky Mountain National Park (2014); Zion National Park, Bryce National Park, and Death Valley National Park (2015); Glacier National Park (2016, his favorite); Denali National Park (2017); Channel Islands National Park (2018); Banff National Park of Canada, Jasper National Park of Canada, and Yoho National Park of Canada (2018). Following his time in Denali National Park, Kevin concluded his 2017 summer exploits with "14-er Madness", climbing six 14,000 ft. Colorado mountains in just seven days. Kevin's wide circle of beloved friends were integral to all of his many interests.
Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Pat Mehlhaff, and Terry Brown. He is survived by his parents, Brad and Janan (Brown) Mehlhaff of New Hope, MN; his sister, Rachel Mehlhaff, of Minneapolis, MN; his grandmother, Marlene Brown, of Manly, IA; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Visitation at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Ave. N, Seattle, WA 98133, on March 22, 2019 from 4pm to 6pm. Funeral services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 8208 18th Ave. NE, Seattle, WA 98115, on March 23, 2019 at 12:00 PM, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Following the services, the Family will host a luncheon in the church social hall. All are invited to attend. Funeral arrangements are provided by Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home. Memorials may be sent to 9109 31st Ave. N, Minneapolis, MN, 55427 and will be distributed by the Family at a later date.
