Died July 26,2002, after an extended illness. Even in ill health, she was a loving, caring woman, with a great, offbeat sense of humor. Born in Seattle on March 19,1959, she attended Shoreline schools, graduated from Seattle University with a nursing degree, and then practiced as a nurse as long as health permitted. She is survived by her beloved daughter Patricia Nicole Vukonich, known by all Lori?s friends, as ?the center of the known universe?. She is also survived by her mother Roberta Leonard, father Edward Leonard, and his wife Leona, brother Casey Leonard, and her niece and nephew, Angelica and Tanner-James Leonard. In addition, Lori had a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins with whom she was very close, and a number of close friends that include Dan Vukonich, Patricia?s father. Funeral services will be at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home Chapel, 11111 Aurora Ave. N. on Wednesday, July 31, at 12 noon. Remembrances to the charity of your choice appreciated.
