I still miss my friend I grew up with. Funniest person I have ever met with the biggest smile and laugh. Always will appreciate the time we had together and I hope you all know he will not be forgotten. Much love.

My condolences to you and your family! I taught Lucci in 7th grade, at Whitman MS. I remember him being funny and full of life. I truly enjoyed teaching him.

Lucci, you were a bright light since the day you were born. You had such a wonderful smile and you felt things so deeply. You always wanted to try something new and you were enthusiastic for any adventure. If we talked about doing something in the future, you would say "right now?" You were ready! You brought joy to those around you and you were loved by so many. You still are.

Everyone who knew Lucci knew he was a free spirit. He was athletic, artistic, and like his brother Dominic said in Lu's obituary, funny as hell. 
He gave great hugs, was generous with the kisses and wasn't afraid to tell people he loved them on a regular basis. 
He was full of surprises, like his secret love for country~western music which he managed to keep hidden from everyone but me. 

We will miss his beautiful face and goofy expressions...his hearty laugh and his silly voices (especially when talking to dogs!)  

Even though he comes from a long line of great cooks he still loved junk food like a big plate of blueberry Eggo waffles with Mrs Butterworths syrup, and he could power through a bag of Tim's jalapeño chips or a mountain of mashed potatoes & gravy in no time flat. 

He lost his life to an addiction to drugs. Something that he couldn't conquer no matter how much we all tried to help him....through lots of love and sometimes, tough love. It's important for me to share that at times he was clean & sober, even as recently as a week ago. (The sober part is a given - alcohol wasn't his thing.) 

He spent 3 days of that week with me at our place in Longbranch, chopping and stacking firewood and helping with our restoration project. We ate well and we worked hard. We went out in the yard at night, trying to trap the pesky raccoons. (Thank goodness we didn't catch any because we didn't know what to do with them after that.) We watched in awe as a Coast Guard cutter pulled up late at night, lights flashing, and parked at the buoy in front of our house. Each night he hauled in wood and built a big fire in the river-rock fireplace, then we watched old VHS movies that we found in a box left by the previous owners, like the Wedding Singer and Dumb & Dumber. We laughed and laughed, even though we've heard those lines a million times.

In the end, I guess he just had too many things weighing on his mind and the drugs took away the pain. We do not believe he took his own life. 

We will get through this but we will never be the same.

It is with a heavy heart that my condolences are offered. The tragic loss of one so young is distressing to all. although I did not know him well, my heart still aches at his loss. My sincerest sympathies to his brothers and mother. I have a seat near the beach waiting for you nephew.
